History

The Walk for Life West Coast began in 2005 in San Francisco, founded to provide a pro-life witness on the West Coast comparable to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. The first walk drew several thousand participants.

Held each January, the walk has grown into the largest annual pro-life event on the West Coast, drawing tens of thousands of people — many of them young — to walk together in San Francisco in witness to the dignity of human life.

The event includes a rally, the walk itself, and associated activities, and continues to grow each year.

What they do

  • Host the annual Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco
  • Provide a pro-life rally and witness
  • Support pregnancy and post-abortion resources
  • Engage and form young pro-life advocates

How to get involved

Anyone can attend. Find event details and register, or support the walk, through the official website — often alongside a group from your parish or campus.
